Regional GoSmart BSR Kick-Off Conference in Bialystok

The regional GoSmart BSR kick-off conference was held in at Bialystok University of Technology on 6^th Dec, 2017. It was the first meeting of a cycle of regional conferences planned in all partnering regions. More than 80 participants were informed about and discussed the assumptions, aims and planned activities of GoSmart BSR project. 

The conference started with the opening speeches by the Rector of Bialystok University of Technology prof. Lech Dzienis and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Management  prof. Joanna Ejdys. We were very delighted to host all regional authorities of Podlaskie region, such as the Marshal and the Regional Representative of Central Government. Rectors of partner universities, deans and a number of CEOs as well as other project stakeholders were among the conference guests. Furthermore, we had an extraordinary pleasure of hosting dr Elke von Kuick from District of Hamburg Altona representing the German project partner - Hamburg Institute of International Economics.

Many inspiring thoughts and ideas were shared in the conference hall and during breaks. A lot new contacts and relations were established. We have an impression that conference participants, including the authorities, look forward to the next project steps and hope for a real impact on the regional economy. The conference was organized by GoSmart Team from the Faculty of Engineering Management.
